Of course, those who are not as fit can take a ride to nearby villages such as Turanj or they can go down the Soline trail. Cyclists can rent bikes and enjoy the ride over cycling paths above Turanj, to gazebo “Crni krug”, which gives you a beautiful view of the Pašman kanal Strait, Kornati archipelago, Vrana Lake and Ravni Kotari.

It takes you through a thick pine forest from the city centre to a sand cove, and on to the neighbouring Kumenat, finishing with a gravel road oriented towards the village Pakoštane. For those ready for longer journeys and more physically demanding routes, there is a 38-kilometre route around Vrana Lake, as well as a mapped trail that passes by the panoramic views from Kamenjak and ends up a few kilometres past Vrana.

Islands Pašman and Ugljan also offer a fabulous biking experience with many mapped trails, among which there are some quite physically demanding since they take you over the hilltops of the islands. Nevertheless, it is worth the effort, as the hills offer splendid views of Biograd, the surrounding areas and the entire archipelago. When combined with sightseeing attractive cultural and historical sites, sampling the terrific food and wine offer in the local taverns and lounging on paradise beaches, you can turn biking over these islands into an extraordinary athletic and hedonistic experience.
The islands are easily accessible – the ferry goes from the city of Biograd to Pašman Island which is connected by bridge across the Ždrelac seaway on to the Ugljan Island. If you do not have your own bike, you can rent it in one of many tourist agencies in Biograd.
