There are 3 nature parks in close proximity: Telašćica, Velebit and Vransko jezero, as well as 5 national parks: Paklenica, Plitvice lakes, Kornati Islands, Krka and Sjeverni Velebit.

You can hike, you can bike, you can even canou or kayak if you like, but be sure to go diving, as this is one of the cleanest and clearest seas there is.

There are several great locations for recreational rafting with a group of friends, then there is horseback riding, free climbing at Paklenica (you know, the national park) as well as an adrenaline park with ziplines and rope polygons.
